| "It
is my mission to motivate my clients to live a full, active, and
athletic life into their 80's and beyond. I offer innovative therapy
techniques to help enhance the quality of life of my clients." |
| Claudia
Terlizzi, athlete and former professional dancer has been in private
practice for over 15 years. She combines muscular therapy with
strength and conditioning, motivational training, soft tissue injury
assessment and rehabilitation. Matching the right treatment
to the particular problem is crucial for th treatment to succeed.
It is this commitment that has earned her three trips to the Olympics
as well as the respect of some sot the world's leading dancers and
musicians. She is currently involved with Wounded Warrior
Project through the Walter Reed and Bethesda Naval Hospitals, helping
wounded returning soldiers from the Iraqi and Afghanistan conflicts
re-connect through sport rather than languish in military hospitals. |
Claudia
Terlizzi trained and graduated in 1993 from the Muscular Therapy
Institute in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Prior to graduation, Claudia
amassed over 1000 clinical hours of practice with an emphasis on
soft tissue injury assessment. Her education continues in Integrative
Somatic Practice, anatomy, physiology and Claudia focuses on sports
massage and rehabilitation.
The Muscular Therapy Center treats all types of soft tissue injury.
Clients include musicians from the Metropolitan Opera and N.Y. Philharmonic
orchestras, Olympians, professional athletes, as well as international
artists and dancers.
Claudia is a competitive athlete in Outrigger Canoe and was a member
of the winning team at the Liberty World Challenge in 2002. She
has been invited to compete for the United States in the World Championship
Sprints in New Zealand in March 2006. She will be one of two able
paddlers in a Para-Olympic exhibition team which will include members
of her Wounded Warrior team. |
